Resistance Is the Doorway to Your Expansion

Welcome to Season 3 of The Economy of Soul.

Over the last five months, my life and work have expanded in ways I couldn't have fully planned for—from publishing BEHAVE, stepping onto new stages and co-hosting our first Elle-vate immersion in France, to deepening my somatic work during an experience in Costa Rica that fundamentally shifted the way I understand the body, resistance and expansion.

And through all of it, one truth has become increasingly clear: Resistance isn't necessarily a sign that you're going in the wrong direction. Sometimes, it's the doorway into the exact expansion you've been asking for. In this first episode of Season 3, I'm bringing you behind the scenes of what's changed for me—and into the philosophy that will shape the conversations we're having this season.

We're talking about what happens when you stop treating fear as truth and start getting curious about what your body is actually communicating. Because expansion doesn't mean you'll never experience fear, doubt or resistance again. In fact, entrepreneurship has a way of bringing all of it to the surface—not only when things are going badly, but when life becomes bigger, richer and more beautiful than what has previously felt familiar. The work isn't to eliminate resistance. It's to develop a different relationship with it. To notice the tightening in your belly.

The change in your breath. The words caught in your throat. To ask what that sensation is trying to protect you from—and then determine whether the next decision is rooted in fear or in what I call your aliveness.

In this episode, we explore:
- Why I believe we're often more afraid of our own power than we are of failure
- What the last five months have taught me about letting go of the need to grip the outcome
- The profound shift I experienced through deeper somatic work in Costa Rica
- Why resistance can show up when things are going incredibly well
- The difference between fear and your aliveness
- How your body communicates when you're approaching an unfamiliar edge
- Why discomfort doesn't automatically mean "stop"
- What becomes possible when fear no longer gets to make your decisions
- What you can expect from this new season of The Economy of Soul Season 3
